WebScreenShot allows you to take screenshots of webpages through a REST API.

Usage

Install webscreenshot on your computer

npm install -g webscreenshot

And start the service

webscreenshotd --port 8080

To take a screenshot of a website, POST the following payload at the / endpoint

After about 1 second, you receive the image.

Parameters

Below is the list of available parameters

Parameter Description
url The url to take a screenshot of.
config.width The width of the viewport in pixels.
config.height The height of the viewport in pixels.
config.top The vertical shift regarding the top of the page in pixels.
config.left The horizontal shift regarding the left ot page in pixels.
config.delay The delay to wait before the screenshot is taken in milliseconds.
config.username The username to use for basic authentication.
config.password The password to use for basic authentication.
