Documentation

Chaosrouter

A cross-platform routing library for web server API’s.

Overview

Chaosrouter is designed to make defining API’s simple and maintainable. The idea was originally inspired by Firebase and its backend JSON configuration. Specifically, the ability to structure the API depths and specify rules. Since then it has evolved into a much more flexible and community driven platform for sharing processing techniques. Directives are what give Chaosrouter this extensibility. Directives can be loaded from npm packages so that sharing is as easy as creating a module.

Glossary of terms

Directives - a programmed set of instructions that are triggered by keys in the JSON configuration.

Package Breakdown

By default, Chaosrouter does not come with any Directives predefined. We want to allow the community to be unencumbered when designing there API process. ‘chaosrouter-core’ and several other modules contain our Directive process. This implementation is ready for those who do not wish to design there own process.
