acme-leeway

Sometimes the real numbers just aren't good enough. Require this module and make every number you inspect appear just a bit more impressive.

Documentation

Acme::Leeway

Numbers seem a little more impressive, provided a little leeway.

Installation

Install it with:

$ gem install acme-leeway

Usage

No one will know you fudged the numbers:

[7] pry(main)> 73.inspect
=> "133"
[8] pry(main)> 73.inspect
=> "111"
[9] pry(main)> 73.inspect
=> "81"

Also, any object that responds to #to_i can be given some leeway:

[12] pry(main)> "55".to_i
=> 67
[13] pry(main)> "55".to_i
=> 106

When not under inspection, the numbers will behave normally:

[10] pry(main)> "55".to_i == 55
=> true
[11] pry(main)> 42.to_i == 42
=> true
