The pawns is designed to serve as the main command-line interface (CLI)

                        Log level.
  -bk BLOCKHEIGHT_KEY, --blockheight-key BLOCKHEIGHT_KEY
                        JSON key to extract the blockheight information, e.g., 'result.sync_info.latest_block_height'. The script will check if the blockheight at
                        this path is increasing.
  --dry-run             Executes a dry run without making actual HTTP requests. Default is False.

This script provides various options to check the HTTP status of URLs.

Using run_pawnlib.sh

This script is designed to run a Docker container for the Pawnlib project. Below are the options and usage instructions.

Usage

./run_pawnlib.sh [options]

Options

  • -d : Run the container in background mode (detached).
  • -l : Enable logging to a file located at /tmp/pawnlib_docker.log.
  • -h : Show this help message.

Description

  1. Basic Setup: The script sets up the container name, image name, log file location, and mount directories.
  2. Color Settings: It defines color codes for log messages.
  3. Logging Functions: The script includes functions for logging informational and error messages.
  4. Help Message: The usage function provides a description of how to use the script and its options.
  5. Pre-checks: It checks if Docker is installed and if the log directory is writable.
  6. Option Parsing: The script processes command-line options using getopts.
  7. Log Directory Creation: If logging is enabled, it creates the necessary log directory.
  8. Pulling Docker Image: The script pulls the latest Docker image specified by IMAGE_NAME.
  9. Container Execution: It runs the Docker container either in interactive mode or in the background based on the provided options.

Using run_pawnlib.sh with curl

You can download and execute the run_pawnlib.sh script directly using curl. Below are the instructions for doing so.

  1. Download the Script: Use curl to download the script from the repository.

  2. Make the Script Executable: After downloading, you need to make the script executable.

    chmod +x run_pawnlib.sh
  3. Run the Script: Now you can run the script with the desired options.

Running the Script Directly with curl

You can also execute the script directly without downloading it by using the following command:

curl -sL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/JINWOO-J/pawnlib/master/run_pawnlib.sh | bash

This command downloads the script and pipes it directly to bash, executing it immediately.
