Documentation

pelican-edit-url

Pelican plugin to add an edit URL to content objects.

This plugin assumes that the parent directory of your content directory is your project directory. If you have the code for your site somewhere public (e.g. Github), you can provide links to the source for each piece of content.

Installation

pip install pelican-edit-url

Add the setting to your pelicanconf.py

EDIT_CONTENT_URL = 'https://github.com/ME/MYCOOLSITE.com/blob/master/{file_path}'

Put {file_path} wherever the path to the file should go in the url. Once this is done you will have an edit_url property on your page and article objects.

<a href="{{ article.edit_url }}">edit on github</a>
