Documentation

tornado-smtp

An asynchronous SMTP client for Tornado.

Usage

import tornado.web
from tornado import gen
from email.message import EmailMessage
from tornado_smtp.client import TornadoSMTP

class MailHandler(tornado.web.RequestHandler):
    @gen.coroutine
    def get(self):
        smtp = TornadoSMTP('<smtp-server-address>')
        yield smtp.starttls()
        yield smtp.login('<username>', '<password>')

        msg = EmailMessage()
        msg['Subject'] = 'Test'
        msg['To']      = '<destination-address>'
        msg['From']    = '<sender-address>'
        msg.set_content('Message body')

        smtp.send_message(msg)

        self.render('response.html')

Status

Alpha. The code hasn't been tested much but seems to work well enough. YMMV.
