Why not just forward model the 2D focal plane array? An experimental approach to echellogram modeling, in early development. The baseline PyTorch code and project scaffolding is based off of Ian Czekala's MPoL project.
There is no citation for this software yet. You can cite the MPoL project when discussing the heritage and convolutional technology.
